Day 36 of the 2026 WSOP featured Shaun Deeb winning his ninth bracelet. Artur Martirosian leads the $100k PLO High Roller, Gonsalves reached the $5k 6-Max final table, Maxx Coleman dominates Event #75, and the Mini Main Event finalized Day 1c.

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event is fast approaching, but the action at the 2026 WSOP remains intense with multiple bracelets still being awarded.

Highlighting the recent action, Shaun Deeb captured his ninth career WSOP bracelet today by winning the $1,500 8-Game tournament.

Meanwhile, Day 36 featured the launch of the $100,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller, critical progress toward crowning a champion in the $5,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em, and the completion of the final starting flight for the Mini Main Event.

Event #76: $100,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha officially kicked off and drew a star-studded lineup. After the completion of ten levels of play, only 19 players managed to survive the day and bag chips.

Sitting comfortably at the top of the leaderboard is four-time gold bracelet winner Artur Martirosian, who accumulated a massive stack of 5,815,000.

Martirosian has already established a significant chip advantage over his nearest competitor, Sean Winter, who sits in second place with 3,695,000.

The overnight top ten is populated by numerous prominent poker professionals, including GGPoker ambassador Daniel Negreanu, who will return for the next stage of play with 1,990,000. Registration for this high-stakes event still remains open.

The field narrowed significantly in Event #78: $5,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em. The day began with 60 players returning to the felt, but a grueling session of poker reduced that number down to the final seven survivors.

These seven remaining players have secured their spots at the official final table, where Gonsalves leads the lineup and eyes the upcoming WSOP title.

Event #75: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better generated a total field of 190 entrants. Following the conclusion of Day 2, the field has been whittled down to just 13 players who remain in contention for the coveted WSOP bracelet and the first-place prize of $415,648.

Two-time WSOP bracelet winner Maxx Coleman holds a commanding lead over the remaining 13 competitors, bagging a stack of 2,430,000, which is nearly twice the size of the next closest chip stack.

This milestone marks Coleman’s ninth cash of the 2026 WSOP. He has already reached two final tables in bracelet events this summer, which includes a deep run in Event #60: $50,000 Poker Players Championship.

The preliminary stages of Event #72: $1,000 Mini Main Event are officially in the books following the conclusion of Day 1c. This final starting flight proved to be the largest of the tournament, attracting 5,908 entries.

After 22 levels of play, Tor Skardi emerged as the flight's chip leader, holding close to 100 big blinds. Soojo Kim follows closely behind, with Skardi and Kim being the only two players to cross the 3,000,000 chip milestone from this flight.

From the massive Day 1c field, just 446 players advanced to the next stage. In total, the event drew an overall field of 12,560 entries, and 934 combined players will return for Day 2 of the tournament.
