Day 50 of the 2026 World Series of Poker featured David Peters winning his fifth bracelet. Joshua Wang and Garrett Dwire also secured titles, while Julien Sitbon, Josh Norvock, and Ryuta Nakai bagged major stacks in the final preliminary events.

Day 50 of the 2026 World Series of Poker marked the penultimate day of the summer series. While the signature $10,000 Main Event final table observed a brief scheduled hiatus, the action across the tournament floor remained highly competitive as multiple gold bracelets were awarded and preliminary fields narrowed down.

The day highlighted high-stakes success as David Peters captured his fifth career World Series of Poker bracelet. Peters emerged victorious in Event #94, the $10,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em Championship.

Outlasting a competitive field of 558 entrants, Peters secured the top prize of $1,001,391 for his championship performance.

In Event #96, the $3,000 6-Handed Pot-Limit Omaha, recreational player Joshua Wang claimed his first career series bracelet.

Wang defeated poker legend Erik Seidel in heads-up play to earn the $407,137 first-place payout, concurrently denying Seidel a historic 11th career bracelet victory.

Massive field sizes defined the lower buy-in tiers of the schedule. Event #95, the $500 Summer Saver No-Limit Hold'em, drew a staggering 4,622 total entries. Garrett Dwire outplayed all 4,621 opponents to win his first World Series of Poker bracelet alongside a career-best payday of $210,000.

Deep structures and mixed-game formats also pushed toward their final stages. In Event #97, the $25,000 High Roller H.O.R.S.E. championship, the field trimmed down to its final 16 players.

French competitor Julien Sitbon, an online bracelet winner from 2023 who finished as the runner-up in the $10,000 Mystery Bounty event earlier this summer, secured the overall chip lead with 3,800,000.

Russian pro Alexander Kostritsyn sits directly behind him in the counts with 3,205,000, followed by Ali Eslami in third place with 1,990,000.

The remaining contenders are playing for a top prize of $872,052. The final preliminary events of the summer drew large numbers as the series approached its conclusion.

Event #99, the $5,000 8-Handed No-Limit Hold'em, represented the penultimate tournament of the summer schedule.

The star-studded event attracted 884 entrants on Day 1, and after 20 levels of play, only 72 competitors successfully bagged chips.
Australian player Josh Norvock leads the advancing group with 1,530,000 in chips, eyeing the first-place prize of $695,256.

Concurrently, Event #98, the $800 Deepstack No-Limit Hold'em, reduced its original field of 2,036 starters down to just 129 survivors after 22 levels of play.

Japanese star and notable $25K Fantasy Draft pick Ryuta Nakai successfully advanced to Day 2, bagging 1,295,000 in chips to position himself securely inside the top 10 chip stacks moving forward.

As the 2026 summer schedule draws to a close, these surviving fields set the stage for the final bracelet presentations of the annual series.
