Andrew Wilson won GGPoker’s $10,000 GGMillions for $437,338 from a $2,173,100 prize pool. He defeated Robovic heads-up after eliminating four-time champion Simon Mattsson.
Andrew Wilson, playing under the screen name “BowieEffect,” has won the latest $10,000 GGMillions tournament on GGPoker, collecting $437,338 from the $2,173,100 prize pool.
His victory also earned him a $10,000 GGMillions live ticket for the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise festival.
The tournament attracted 223 entries, with the top 25 finishers receiving a share of the prize pool. Gediminas Uselis, Pedro Neves and Rodrigo Selouan were among the players who finished in the money.
Day 1 concluded on October 11, with Viacheslav Buldygin finishing in 10th place. The remaining nine players returned for the final table a couple of days later.
Wilson Eliminates Four-Time Champion Simon Mattsson
Simon Mattsson started the final table with 116 big blinds and the chip lead. The four-time GGPoker GGMillions champion was in contention for a fifth title before losing a significant portion of his stack to Wilson.
Around 30 minutes into play, Mattsson opened under the gun with king-queen, and Wilson called from the small blind with queen-ten of spades.
Wilson check-called a bet on a king-high flop and called again on the jack of spades turn, which gave him an open-ended straight flush draw.
An ace on the river completed Wilson’s straight. After Wilson checked, Mattsson overbet the 2.1 million pot. Wilson moved all-in for an additional 200,000 chips, prompting Mattsson to fold.
Wilson secured the rest of Mattsson’s stack approximately 30 minutes later. Wilson min-raised to 200,000 with pocket aces from late position, and Mattsson moved all-in for 2.5 million with ace-queen.
Wilson called, and although a queen on the flop gave Mattsson some hope, the remaining board cards brought no improvement. Mattsson was eliminated, leaving Wilson with almost three times as many chips as any remaining opponent.
Robovic Stages a Comeback Before Final Hand
Wilson entered heads-up play against Robovic with a commanding 10-to-1 chip lead. However, Robovic fought back and took the lead when his pocket jacks held against Wilson’s ace-ten in an all-in preflop confrontation.
Despite the setback, Wilson recovered to secure the title. In the final hand, Wilson min-raised with king-queen of clubs, and Robovic three-bet all-in with pocket fours. Wilson called, and a king on the flop gave him the winning hand.
Wilson claimed the $437,338 first-place prize, while Robovic received $337,233 for finishing runner-up. Robovic’s result came after he began the final table as the shortest stack.
