BetPlay.io and its HPN poker network will launch The Hive Series on April 27, 2026, a 28-day online poker festival running through May 24 with $100,000 in guaranteed prize pools, a team-based colony competition, weekly cash leaderboards, and a winner-takes-all Coronation Tournament to close out the series.

What Is The Hive Series?

The Hive Series is a 28-day poker festival built around a team competition format unique to HPN. Every player is automatically assigned to one of four teams, called Hives, at the start of the series:

Venomous Vets	The experienced
Apex Swarm	The rising force

Players earn points for their Hive automatically through HPN's existing weekly leaderboard system. Every tournament played, at every stake level, contributes to the colony's running total. The Hive with the most combined points at the end of 28 days wins the series.

Weekly Prizes and the Queen System

Each of the four Hives runs its own weekly leaderboard throughout the series. Every week, each Hive leaderboard distributes $200 in prizes to its top performers, totalling $800 paid out every week and more than $3,200 across the full series.

The top point scorer within each Hive each week is crowned Weekly Queen and receives an exclusive Hive-specific avatar. More importantly, every weekly leaderboard winner earns a guaranteed seat at the Coronation Tournament on May 24.

The Coronation Tournament

The series concludes on May 24 with the Coronation Tournament, a $1,000 winner-takes-all final reserved exclusively for weekly leaderboard winners. Up to 16 queens can qualify across four weeks and four Hives. The last player standing is crowned Empress of The Hive and awarded the series' ultimate exclusive avatar.

No opt-in is required. Any player on BetPlay.io is automatically entered into the Hive competition from April 27. Play any eligible tournament, earn points, and contribute to your colony's total.
