Low and mid-stakes events produced huge fields, including 21,892 entries across four $1M GTD CoinMillions.

CoinPoker’s first Global Online Poker Championship (GOPC) finished on September 29, with the final numbers showing a substantial gap between the original $50M guarantee and the money actually distributed.

CoinPoker reported $88.4M in total prize money, more than 2.1M tournament entries and 48,815 unique players across 6,231 tournaments.

The final prize money was therefore roughly $38.4M above the original series guarantee, or around 77% more than the advertised $50M target.

CoinMillions: Four Events, Total 21,892 Entries

CoinPoker ran a $215 CoinMillion every weekend in September, with each event carrying a $1M guarantee.

The four events combined for 21,892 entries and more than $4.18M in prize money. The final edition produced the largest field at 5,404 entries, narrowly beating the previous 5,321-entry mark. CoinPoker also described it as a record CoinMillion turnout.

Lower Buy-ins Produced Huge Fields

Two of the biggest individual fields came from the Global Main events:

The $55 Global Main finished $64,050 above its guarantee, while the $11 Mini Main finished $10,600 over its $250K target. That lower buy-in volume is one of the clearest features of the GOPC numbers. The series was not dependent only on high buy-ins and high rollers. Large fields at $11, $55 and $215 provided a substantial part of the overall volume.
