The r/poker community and GGPoker are offering a free $10,000 WSOP Main Event seat for 2026. Through three freebuy qualifying heats in May, players can advance to a June finale to win the prestigious Las Vegas poker tournament prize package.

The Reddit poker community is set to return to the World Series of Poker with the announcement of the r/poker Goes To WSOP Las Vegas promotion.

This tournament series offers members of the r/poker community a direct path to the $10,000 WSOP Main Event this July, with the entire prize package provided at no cost to the winner.

This initiative follows a successful track record of community representation at major global events. Last year, the subreddit sent Remi Alamian to Las Vegas to compete in the Main Event.

More recently, Aleksandar Kozomara represented the community at WSOP Europe in Prague, where he advanced to Day 3 and secured a cash of €12,500.

The 2026 series aims to build on these performances by sending a new representative to the most prestigious stage in the game.

The Qualification Path: Weekly Heats

The road to the Main Event consists of three qualifying heats hosted on the GGPoker platform. These tournaments are structured as freebuys, meaning they are free to enter with an optional $2 buy-in available for players who are eliminated.

The schedule for the three turbo qualifying heats is as follows:

Heat 1: Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 21:00 UTC
Heat 2: Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 21:00 UTC
Heat 3: Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 21:00 UTC

To participate, players must locate the events in the GGPoker tournament lobby by searching for r/poker. Access to these tournaments requires a password, which will be released 90 minutes before the start of each heat on both the r/poker and r/GGPoker subreddits.

The Grand Finale and Prize Pool

The top 75 finishers from each of the three heats will advance to the Grand Finale. This final stage will take place on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 21:00 UTC, featuring a field of 225 qualifiers.

The winner of the Grand Finale will receive a $10,000 WSOP Bracelet Pass. This pass grants entry into the 2026 WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas, with starting flights scheduled for July 2 through July 6. The tournament continues until the final table is reached on July 13.

In addition to the grand prize, players finishing in 2nd through 5th place will receive a $150 WSOP Express Step 4 ticket. These tickets serve as entries into the WSOP Express satellite system, providing additional opportunities to qualify for future World Series of Poker events.

Eligibility and Requirements

Participation is strictly limited to members of the r/poker community who meet specific criteria. All entrants must hold a fully verified GGPoker.com account and have completed all necessary KYC procedures.

Furthermore, participants must be at least 21 years of age to comply with United States gaming regulations.

A core condition of the grand prize is the commitment to play. The $10,000 Bracelet Pass is non-transferable and carries no cash alternative.

The winner must be able to travel to Las Vegas to compete in the Main Event during the specified July dates.
