PokerStars Open Campione returns January 8-17, 2027, with a €1,250 Main Event buy-in. The previous editions generated prize pools of €2,326,080 in 2025 and €1,518,720 in 2026, despite declining participation.
PokerStars Open Campione will return to Casino di Campione, Italy, from January 8 to 17, 2027, opening PokerStars' 2027 live poker season. The Main Event buy-in will increase to €1,250, up from €1,100 in the previous two editions.
The announcement follows two years of substantial Main Event prize pools, although participation declined in 2026. With another edition scheduled for January, the festival will build on the results established by its previous tournaments.
Campione Main Event Results: 2025 vs. 2026
The 2025 PokerStars Open Campione Main Event attracted 2,423 entries and generated a €2,326,080 prize pool. Romania's Adrian-Sorel State won the tournament, collecting €363,000.
In 2026, the Main Event recorded 1,582 entries and a €1,518,720 prize pool. Switzerland's Elvir Nuhiu secured the title and €200,640 following a three-way deal with Italy's Vincenzo Petruzziello and France's Christian Stantchev, who received €167,536 and €150,634, respectively.
Although the 2026 edition attracted fewer entries and produced a smaller prize pool than its predecessor, it still generated more than €1.5 million in prize money. The results demonstrate the scale of the tournament across its first two editions.
€1,250 Buy-In for the 2027 Edition
The 2027 Main Event buy-in will rise by €150, representing an increase of approximately 13.6% over the previous €1,100 entry fee.
The higher buy-in marks a change for the upcoming festival, but its effect on attendance and the prize pool remains unknown. The 2025 and 2026 results provide a historical benchmark against which the next edition can be assessed.
PokerStars has confirmed the January 8-17 dates but has yet to publish the complete tournament schedule. Online qualifiers have also been announced, with further details expected separately.
The 2027 festival will open PokerStars' live poker calendar, returning to Campione after two editions that generated Main Event prize pools exceeding €1.5 million.
