200 Big Blinds and a WPT Trophy: Inside WPT Global's New Sunday High Roller

WPT Global's newest Sunday tournament comes with two things not always found together online: 200 starting big blinds and a trophy with the winner's name on it.

The Asia Super High Roller Championship has joined the regular schedule as a weekly one-day event, starting Sundays at 12:05 UTC. Entry costs ¥5,300, the guarantee is ¥800,000 and at least ¥200,000 is reserved for the winner.

While the overall prize-pool guarantee stands at ¥800,000 for the entire Sunday tournament, WPT Global has separately guaranteed that the eventual champion receives at least ¥200,000. If the field creates a prize pool larger than ¥800,000, the final payouts can increase accordingly.

There is also a physical reward attached. Each weekly winner receives a personalised WPT trophy displaying their name or nickname.

Direct entry is only one route into the Sunday edition.

The lowest of the main published satellite ladders starts at ¥11 and moves into a ¥110 Mega Satellite. There are also ¥30-to-¥288 and ¥55-to-¥550 paths.

Mega Satellites guarantee multiple championship seats, with at least two ¥5,300 entries available, while standard satellites typically guarantee one.

The satellites run during the week before the Sunday championship, giving the event a qualification cycle similar to a small weekly series.
