Ilia Arkhipov won Event #8 of the 2026 WSOP Online at GGPoker, defeating Yulian Bogdanov heads-up for $371,793 and his first WSOP bracelet. The Belarus-based player also received a $30,000 Super Pass after topping a 466-player field.

Ilia Arkhipov has won Event #8: $5,000 6-Handed NLH Championship at the 2026 WSOP Online at GGPoker, securing his first WSOP bracelet and a career-best score of $371,793.

Arkhipov entered Day 2 as the chip leader and maintained that advantage through a star-studded final table to claim the outright victory.

Alongside the title and top prize, he also received a $30,000 Super Pass to the 2026 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event.

Event #8 attracted a 466-strong field, with the tournament reduced to just eight hopefuls by the end of Day 1.

Those remaining players returned on the evening of August 26 to complete the event and compete for the largest portions of the $2,213,500 prize pool. Joseph Cheong began Day 2 with the shortest stack among the eight players.

He was ultimately eliminated in eighth place for $40,867, with his departure establishing the official final table. The remaining seven players then continued their pursuit of the bracelet and the top prizes.

The next two eliminations came from the two Brazilians who had advanced to the final table, Edilson Junior and Daniel Da Silva.

Da Silva's elimination reduced the field to five players. At that stage, each of the remaining contenders was guaranteed more than $100,000.

Malaysian player Wai Kiat Lee was the next player eliminated. Lee, who has recorded $26.8 million in live cashes, finished in fifth place and collected $112,598 from the prize pool.

His departure left four players competing for the championship, with the next elimination belonging to Mikita Badziakouski.

Mikita Badziakouski finished fourth for $151,783. With Badziakouski out, only three players remained in contention for the Event #8 title and the $371,793 first prize.

Vlad Martynenko of Ukraine secured the next spot on the payout ladder, finishing third for $204,605.

Martynenko is predominantly an online tournament specialist and previously won an online bracelet at GGPoker in 2021 in the $1,500 Fifty Stack.

The tournament ultimately came down to a heads-up battle between Arkhipov and Yulian Bogdanov. Arkhipov prevailed in the one-on-one contest, securing the championship, his first WSOP bracelet and the $371,793 top prize. Bogdanov finished as runner-up and received $275,809.

Arkhipov's victory capped a tournament in which he had started Day 2 with the chip lead and converted that early advantage into the biggest result of the event.

The Belarus-based Arkhipov leaves Event #8 with $371,793, a $30,000 Super Pass to the 2026 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event and his first WSOP bracelet.
