Cash Game World Championship

There is no hiding in heads-up poker, and this April, CoinPoker is making the environment even more unforgiving. The platform has officially announced its 2026 Heads Up Cash Game World Championship (CGWC), a high-stakes marathon designed to crown the definitive "end bosses" of No Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha.

Between April 6 and May 3, some of the most aggressive tactical minds in the digital arena will battle across three grueling phases, where the only thing higher than the $10,000 buy-in is the prestige of a world title and a custom Rolex.

The Architecture of the Duel

Following a major software overhaul earlier this year, CoinPoker is prioritizing a "pure skill" environment. To achieve this, the operator has removed the house commission entirely; every hand played during the CGWC will be 100% rake-free

To further incentivize the elite pool, CoinPoker is matching 50% of all player buy-ins to boost the leaderboard prizes. For the athletes at the $50/$100 tables, this means every dollar of equity is preserved, turning the competition into a zero-sum battle of pure strategic execution.

The Road to the Rolex

The championship is divided into three distinct stages to test both short-term brilliance and long-term stamina:

  • Group Stage (April 6–19): Competitors are seeded into groups for high-volume matches (1,250 to 1,875 hands). Points are awarded for wins and mathematical efficiency.

  • Semi-Finals (April 20–26): Survivors enter a 2,000-hand elimination bracket. The top point-scorer earns the "Challenger’s Choice," selecting their preferred semi-final opponent.

  • Grand Final (April 27–May 3): A final 2,000-hand marathon to determine the world champion in each format.
