The WSOP Circuit has dropped its December 2025 Las Vegas stop at Planet Hollywood to prevent overlap with the WPT World Championship and WSOP Paradise. The event will be rescheduled, with Planet Hollywood expected to feature in future Circuit plans.

The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) has officially revised its calendar, removing the upcoming Las Vegas stop originally planned for December.

The adjustment comes as the poker calendar in December has become increasingly competitive, leaving little room for another major festival.

Original Dates Removed from Schedule

The event, first announced for December 4–16 at the newly launched Planet Hollywood poker room in Las Vegas, is no longer listed on the official WSOP schedule. This cancellation prevents direct overlap with other headline events scheduled during the same period.

Reason for the Change

The move avoids a scheduling clash with two of the industry’s most prominent festivals: the World Poker Tour (WPT) World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas, running from December 2–22, and WSOP Paradise 2025 in The Bahamas, scheduled for December 4–18.

Both of these tournaments represent major attractions for professional and recreational players, with prize pools and structures that have become defining fixtures in the global poker calendar.

Holding a WSOP Circuit event in Las Vegas at the same time would have made it difficult to draw sufficient participation.

Future Plans for Planet Hollywood

Although the December dates have been cancelled, WSOP has indicated that the Circuit stop at Planet Hollywood will be rescheduled.

No new timeframe has been officially released, but expectations remain that the venue will be reintroduced into the Circuit calendar when a less congested period becomes available.

Planet Hollywood’s poker room, a new addition to the Las Vegas scene, is expected to eventually feature prominently on the WSOP Circuit map once an alternative slot is confirmed.
