The World Poker Tour returns to The Lodge Card Club in Austin, Texas from Sept. 24 through Oct. 12 for the WPT Prime Lodge Championship, featuring a $1,100 buy-in event with a $1 million guaranteed prize pool.

The World Poker Tour (WPT) has announced its return to Austin, Texas for the highly anticipated WPT Prime Lodge Championship. Scheduled to take place at The Lodge Card Club, the upcoming poker festival will run from Sept. 24 through Oct. 12.

The centerpiece of the entire series is the $1,100 buy-in WPT Prime Lodge Championship event, which will run from Oct. 8-12 and features a $1 million guaranteed prize pool.

The return follows a successful debut for the WPT Prime Lodge Championship in 2025. The inaugural event attracted 1,648 entries, generating a massive $1,598,560 total prize pool that easily surpassed the initial $1 million guarantee.

Following four intense days of tournament action, Harvey Castro claimed the victory, earning the WPT Prime title along with a first-place prize payout of $225,020.

Tour organizers expect the upcoming October stop in Austin to rank among the largest WPT Prime events of the season. The festival framework is built around another $1 million guaranteed championship event, accompanied by a comprehensive schedule of preliminary tournaments at The Lodge Card Club.

“The response to last season’s WPT Prime Lodge Championship demonstrated just how strong the poker community is in Texas,” stated WPT CEO Adam Pliska. “We are thrilled to return to The Lodge Card Club with another $1 million guaranteed Prime Championship event.”

Beyond the main title event, attendees will have access to a diverse festival schedule featuring a variety of events, daily tournaments, and satellites.

These offerings provide players with numerous entry points to participate throughout the multi-week series. For those looking to secure a seat in the marquee $1,100 buy-in tournament at a fraction of the cost, live satellites will run directly at the venue during the festival.

Followers of the tour can also look forward to comprehensive media coverage, as the WPT Prime Lodge Championship will feature dedicated livestream broadcasts.

Poker fans worldwide can view the action as it unfolds from the state-of-the-art streaming room located inside The Lodge Card Club. Additional specifics, including the complete streaming schedule, are scheduled to be disclosed in the near future.

The stop at The Lodge Card Club forms a key component of the second half of the World Poker Tour Season 24 calendar.
The tour plans to sustain its global momentum through the end of the year, with additional marquee tour stops across the globe expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
