WPT Global has launched its new Mystery Bounty format ahead of September's Fall Festival.

The new Mystery Bounty format offers players an exciting twist on traditional bounty tournaments.

The cross-platform feature is available to all players and introduces a unique element of surprise where the exact bounty amount remains a mystery until a player is eliminated.

How WPT Global Mystery Bounty works:

Beginning Phase: During this initial stage, players focus on building their stacks without any bounty rewards.
Bounty Phase: Once the money bubble bursts, the Bounty Phase begins, where players can win Mystery Bounties for every opponent they eliminate. Each elimination awards a Mystery Chest, and the amount inside remains unknown until it is opened.

Players can win multiple chests in a single hand, and in cases of split pots, the bounty may also be split.

The Mystery Bounty pop-out feature, located in the top right corner of the table, allows you to track the distribution of bounties, adding an extra layer of strategy and excitement to the gameplay.

In addition to this, a new final table animation and theme have been added to WPT Global, adding to the occasion and bringing more WPT-themed prestige and excitement when tournaments reach the end stage.

The launch of Mystery Bounty comes ahead of the WPT Global Fall Festival which runs September 8 through September 30 with $8.5million in guaranteed prize money.

The festival is open to all registered players, and new players can use the WPT Global promo code NEWBONUS when registering a new account to claim the poker room's welcome bonus.

The NEWBONUS code works in all countries where WPT Global is available and up to $1500 in bonus money is available when registering.

WPT Global Cash Game Updates

WPT Global has this week also announced an update for cash game players.

Should you leave a cash game and wish to return within 30 minutes, you will now be required to buy-in for the same amount you left with.

This feature applies to both No-Limit Hold'em (NLHE) and Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) games.

In PLO5, players will see the default buy-in screen with an option to buy-in for the same amount or more if desired.

This update aims to maintain game integrity and provide a consistent playing experience, stopping any behaviours which damage games.
