WPT World Championship 2025
The 2025 WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas runs December 2–22 with 78 tournaments. Highlights include the $10,400 World Championship, $1,100 WPT Prime Championship, new PLO and mixed game formats, high rollers, and exclusive players events.

The World Poker Tour (WPT) and Wynn Las Vegas have officially released the complete schedule for the 2025 WPT World Championship Festival, taking place from December 2 to 22, 2025. 

The festival spans three weeks, featuring 78 tournaments and satellites, and presents one of the most comprehensive poker offerings of the year. 

With buy-ins starting at $600 and rising to $25,800, the schedule caters to players across all levels while reinforcing Wynn Las Vegas as one of poker’s premier destinations.

Festival Structure and Buy-in Range

The 2025 edition expands significantly on previous years, offering tournaments that appeal to a wide spectrum of players:
  • Buy-ins: From $600 entry events to $25,800 high rollers.
  • Satellites: Over two dozen qualifiers, beginning at $200, giving players a pathway into the larger marquee tournaments.

New Additions to the 2025 Festival

Several new tournaments have been introduced to broaden the diversity of formats and stakes:
  • $1,600 PLO Mystery Bounty – December 7–8.
  • $1,600 NLH $1 Million GTD – December 12–13 (single starting day).
  • $1,100 NLH $2 Million GTD – December 16–19.
  • Nearly a dozen PLO and 5-Card PLO events.

Expanded Mixed Games lineup, including HORSE, TORSE, Omaha 8, Big O, OE, Mixed Triple Draw, and 2-7 Mixed Limits.

Popular Events Returning

Several events that drew strong participation in previous years are back on the 2025 schedule:

Large Guaranteed NLH Tournaments

  • $800 buy-in, $1 Million GTD Opening Event – December 2–6.
  • $1,600 buy-in, $1 Million GTD – December 5–7.
  • $1,600 buy-in, $1 Million GTD – December 20–22.
  • $3,000 buy-in, $3 Million GTD – December 18–20.

High Roller Action

  • $25,800 NLH High Roller – December 17–18.
  • $25,800 NLH High Roller – December 18–19.

Special Championships

  • Ladies Championship: $1,100 buy-in with a $250,000 guarantee, scheduled for December 13–14.
  • Seniors Championship: $1,100 buy-in, running December 18–20.
  • Seniors High Roller: $10,000 buy-in, taking place December 20–22.

Marquee Headline Events

The festival will be anchored by two premier tournaments:

WPT World Championship

  • Buy-in: $10,400.
  • Dates: December 13–19.
  • Final Table: Televised on December 21.

WPT Prime Championship

  • Buy-in: $1,100.
  • Guarantee: $5 million.
  • Dates: December 7–12.
  • Final Table: Televised on December 20.

WPT Players Party

In addition to competitive play, WPT has confirmed a Players Party on December 12 at 8 p.m. at Odyssey Noir, located across Area 15 in Las Vegas. Entry is exclusive to participants of the WPT Prime Championship, Ladies Championship, and WPT World Championship.

Players must present their official buy-in receipt to attend. The event will feature music, entertainment, and social activities.

Outlook for 2025 Festival

According to WPT CEO Adam Pliska, the Wynn Las Vegas festival continues to evolve, offering tournaments across various buy-in levels, a robust satellite system, expanded mixed games, and marquee high-stakes events. 

The 2025 edition is expected to attract a diverse international player pool and build on the success of prior years.
