  • No summer break for WPN—big events continue into September.
  • OSS XL series offers $50M in guarantees and a $65K leaderboard, Sept 7-30.
  • ACR Poker hosts Online Day 1 for Battle of Malta (Sept 14): qualify for live Main Event & payout in Malta.
Battle of Malta 2025
The summer slowdown isn’t really showing up on WPN’s schedule. After finishing August with the two Venom Mystery Bounty finales — one in NLH, one in PLO — the network is moving straight into September with two fresh offerings: the OSS XL series and an Online Day 1 for the Battle of Malta Main Event.

It’s not the usual “quiet period” for online poker.

Online Day 1: Malta Starts at Home

The Battle of Malta is a long-standing European live festival, and this year, ACR Poker is again providing a direct online route into the Main Event. On September 14, players can enter an Online Day 1 with a $625 + $75 buy-in. Those who make it into the top 15% won’t just bag a chip count — they’ll also be guaranteed a live payout when they arrive in Malta between November 2 and 5.

The payout process is handled in Malta, not online. Minimum cash is expected to be around $900, with exact figures set once all Day 1s (online and live) are complete.

Players must also cover their own travel and hotel. Satellites, including a $66 Mega Sat, are scheduled across the same weekend for those looking to qualify at a lower price point.

OSS XL: $50 Million Across the Board

Running from September 7 through 30, the OSS XL returns with $50 million in total guarantees. The schedule includes high buy-in main events, lower buy-in multi-flight Mystery Bounties, and a range of formats designed to cover most player preferences.

A leaderboard is also part of the series once again. With $65,000 in prizes, the leaderboard is entirely funded by WPN rather than carved out of tournament pools. It’s an additional incentive for regular grinders who put in consistent volume across the series.

The key main events are spread across late September, while earlier dates see the first Mystery Bounty flights and other phased events get underway.
